Travis' Review of Working with Steve via Vistage
"I went to lunch with a friend who recently sustainably grew their business from $15m to $120m in a short period and was able to appoint a president and step back to a board position. I ask for some advice since to was struggling with the stress, one of the top suggestions was Vistage. I quickly applied and when through the process in March of 2023 and was placed in Steve's Group. I had no idea how lucky I was. I remember going to the first meeting in April, I was just finishing a grueling 7 month buyout of a minority partner and I was heading into that meeting not in a great place.
I left the meeting and called my wife with joy, excitement and an entirely new outlook on life. To say being in Steve's group has been life changing is an understatement. Steve's leadership style has attracted an amazing group of people that are now great friends. He creates an incredibly safe environment that provides everyone the space to be honest and vulnerable to get to the root of the things that are holding us back. Having grown and sold his own business you would think with that amount of knowledge and success he would be the first one to jump in and give advice; however, his humility and PQ shine as he lets the group provide our peers the support. This does not mean he lacks sage advice, he typically comes in at the end after everyone has spoken their advice and support and adds his wisdom like a true leader. I was struggling with potentially wanting to sell and exit the business because it was just too much. Now I'm excited for what is next and extremely excited to share my future successes and struggles with My Vistage group. Thanks Steve!"
