Vistage CEO Peer Group Review:

This group has been life changing. I had been approached by numerous CEO Coaching companies and individuals before I finally told Steve I would try out a meeting. I had always felt like my situation was a bit unique. We had grown the company substantially over the past 4 years and had been on the INC 5000 list for the last two years. It’s not that we had all the answers, it’s that we had a process for seeking information. When I finally came to my first meeting with Steve and our Vistage group, I was hesitant and didn’t know what to expect. I realized that I had been stressed about so many items inside the company and hadn’t allowed the stress to surface. Naturally that was having consequences. The ability to discuss my business needs with others has been priceless. I never knew how important it was to simply “say it out loud” to a group of people who were in my shoes and could truly understand what I was going through. Listening to other CEOs discuss their own internal challenges helped me to navigate my own more successfully. Two months in I finally opened up about an internal issue I had with a partner. Thanks to the advice from our Vistage group, I was able to have a difficult conversation in a way that allowed my partner and I to navigate this so that we ended up with the least amount of collateral damage and the best outcome for both of us. The insight and plan we all agreed to was incredible. I know that my next couple years of growth will be easier because I finally have a team of leaders I can discuss action items with. I would highly recommend Steve and this Vistage group to any CEO looking to improve their business and their own quality of life.

Positive Intelligence (PQ) Review:

By the time I signed my leadership team up for the PQ sessions with Steve, I had already read the book and become a believer in Positive Intelligence. After investing time in the 6 week program, the results have been spectacular. I learned so much more than I did from the book. My leadership team is communicating more transparently than ever before. We have forged relationships that are stronger because of how we have all opened up. Our ability to navigate challenges has become significantly less stressful. Maybe the most important outcome that I hadn’t imagined would occur was that my home life improved as well. The tools they taught have reduced the stress from work to a point where I don’t really bring stress home any longer. My stress from home has lowered as well. I listen better, hear more and react less. I would consider this to be an operating system for how to reduce stress and be a better employer, employee, spouse and friend. This is a course that every human should take.
