Steve Bohlender

Steve Sager approached me with information about Vistage a few months ago. I attended an

introductory half-day session hosted by Sean Flaherty (one of many excellent Vistage presenters). I

learned a lot of great ideas that I took back to our management team for implementation. Vistage is a

great organization, they have excellent resources including in-person presenters, live online web

conferences and recordings of sessions that are available after.

Steve provides excellent leadership for our Vistage group, bringing in guest speakers on a variety of

topics, as well as facilitating our monthly Vistage group meetings. Steve has managed the balance of

letting CEO’s in the group share their thoughts while staying focused on the topic at hand. It’s a delicate

balance, which Steve manages very well. I really look forward to each monthly group meeting;

discussing with peers having common experiences, sharing knowledge and insights is incredibly useful.

One of the great ideas Steve brought to our group was Positive Intelligence. I was excited with the

potential with the “PQ” program and shared it the next day with our management team. The four of us

signed up and went through the extensive 6 week program; it required a steady time commitment each

day, but the payoff has been amazing! Our team is using Positive Intelligence concepts to help improve

our communications with each other, as well as helping each of us to manage stress in both our business

and personal lives. We plan to expand use of Positive Intelligence at CIC, and expect our staff to also

reap the benefits from Positive Intelligence in managing their own stress and improving their lives at

work and at home.
